In 1957 Frank Johnson bought JT Cullen Co., Inc. from John Cullen. Cullen had operated a boiler works in the building located in Northwest Illinois. After Johnson bought the building, he expanded the product line to include Custom Metal Fabrication. Since that time, the building has been modernized and upgraded several times but the business continued to outgrow the facility. In the early to mid 1980’s the business expanded into two Iowa facilities, a fabrication shop in Clinton and a machine shop in Camanche.

Roughly ten years later, the still growing JT Cullen Co., Inc. merged all three companies under one roof. We built a new 122,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility in Fulton, Illinois.

At that time numerous equipment improvements were made including new cranes, large high-definition plasma table, large brake presses and rolls, a paint booth and structural blasting equipment. The future of JT Cullen Co., Inc. has never looked brighter.
